One way of making yourself more attractive as a potential employee is to take a roustabout training course to help get an idea of the skills and work involved with the job and to show your employer that you’re a step ahead of all the applicants who would have to be trained from scratch. While the options might be limited depending on your location, it is always worth doing a little research to see if anyone in your area provides roustabout courses or roustabout training of any kind.

The most options are going to be found by following this type of a lead, and the time commitment really is small considering how much you can benefit by improving your resume. However to qualify for these, you often need to apply up front and pass basic qualifications or job interviews to get in. This can be a problem for those of you who have the desire but not the experience.
